HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Lillian Weidler, 93, of West Main Street, died Friday, July 4, 2003 at the Hoosick Falls Health Center where she had resided for several months.

Born Monday, Oct. 4, 1909, she lived most of her like in New York City, where she worked for the federal government.

She was raised in the Russian Orthodox Church and later attended Roman Catholic services.

In her salad days, she was interested in hunting and fishing and enjoyed a good glass of beer. She moved to Cambridge 15 years ago to be near her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Lillian Kopec of Cambridge; three grandchildren. She also had three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

A son, Nicholas Giraffa, died before her.

There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, July 9, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge. The Rev. Paul Baker, of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge.
