Linda H. Blake 1951-2009 BENNINGTON Linda H. Blake, age 57, a resident of Coleville Road in Bennington died on Monday evening, March 16 at her home following a brief illness surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Glens Falls, N.Y. on September 24, 1951, daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian Pease Wells. She received her education in Hudson Falls Schools and is a graduate of Hudson Falls Central High Schools. She married Frank Blake, Sr. in Londonderry, VT. on October 16, 1969. Mr. Blake survives. The Blakes moved to Vermont in 1971, and have resided in Pownal before moving to Bennington. Linda has been employed at National Hanger in North Bennington and had been a production worker and Line Leader. She loved horses, her cats, and playing computer games. Linda also enjoyed listening to country music, playing board games and cards. Besides her husband of Bennington, she is survived by one daughter Angela Terrell and her companion, John Rossi of Amsterdam, NY and her son Frank Blake, Jr. of Bennington. Linda leaves four brothers; Kenneth Wells and wife Ruth of Hudson Falls, N.Y., Wayne G. Wells of Arlington, Texas, James Wells of Lake George, N.Y., John Wells and his wife, Phyllis, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and her four sisters: Marlene Wells of Granville, N.Y., Patricia Brooks of Arlington, Texas, Jean Huestis of Hudson Falls, N.Y. and Ellen Derusha and her husband, Eben, of Argyle, N.Y.; and her two grandsons, Jason and Jordan Terrell and her granddaughter Arianna Marie Rossi, expected in June. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Wells. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, March 21, 2009 at the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, in Bennington at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Roy Allen, officiating. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center, through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
