"Skee" Sprague

ORLEANS Llewellyn F. "Skee" Sprague, 88, of 18 West Road, formerly of Readsboro and Pownal, Vermont passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on Tuesday, October 8th. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Barbara Hubley, and is survived by his two daughters, Christine Hardman (and husband Jim) of South Orleans, and Bonnie Millis (and husband Glenn) of Mechanicville N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Brooke Hardman Ditchfield and husband Brian, Hilary Hardman Henning, and husband Will, James C. Hardman, and Molly Christopher, Carrie Millis Babe and husband Terry, Katie Millis Wyss, and husband Troy. He is also survived by five great -grandchildren; Tyler and Evelyn Babe, Hunter and Kyle Wyss and Isla Reay Ditchfield . Skee was a loving man who enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and telling stories. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a former employee of Deerfield Specialty Paper Co., General Electric of Agawam, and a part time employee at the Taconic Golf Course in Williamstown. While living in Orleans for the past five years he enjoyed his membership at the Orleans Mens Club, Orleans Yacht Club, GE Retired Mens Club and the Council on Aging. He was a member of the Readsboro, Vt. Baptist Church and attended The Brewster Baptist Church in Brewster. FUNERAL NOTICE: A military funeral is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m. at the Readsboro Baptist Church and burial at the North Hill Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the church. On Sunday, October 20 a brief memorial and brunch will be held at the Orleans Yacht Club in Orleans.
