BENNINGTON -- Lois Audrey (Littlefield) Kenison, 74, a resident of Shushan, N.Y., and formerly of Sunderland and Ringwood, N.J., died on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a brief illness.

She was born in Hackensack, N.J., on Aug. 6, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Porter Elmer and Elizabeth (Savage) Littlefield. She received her education in New Jersey and is a graduate of the Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School and the William Paterson University, with a B.A. degree in education.

She married Charles P. Kenison on June 11, 1955, in Teaneck, N.J. Mr. Kenison survives. Mrs. Kenison had been employed as a media specialist at the Ringwood (N.J.) Schools System for 23 years.

The Kenison’s moved to Sunderland in 1995 and to Shushan, N.Y., a few years ago. Mrs. Kenison enjoyed golf, was the secretary for the Arlington Golf League and was the co-ordinator of the Tuesday Night Golf League.

She was an avid skier, and had skied for many years at Bromley Mountain.

The Kenisons also had a residence in Axehead, N.C.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her three sons and their partners; Charles P. and Doreen Kenison of Ringwood, N.J., Bruce W. and Carolyn Kenison of Ringwood, and Robert S. and partner David Schapiro of Washington, D.C.

She leaves two grandchildren, Charles P. Kenison III., and Brianna E. Kenison of Ringwood, N.J.

Mrs. Kenison is predeceased by one brother, Porter Littlefield.

The family will receive friends at the family home in Shushan, N.Y., on Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 2 to 6 p.m.
