Loraine R. Hoag

1929 - 2014 BENNINGTON Loraine Ruth Hoag died on Friday, July 4, at her daughter's home in Monkton, where she had resided for the past five years. Born on Oct. 20, 1929, in Bennington, she was the daughter of Bernie and Gladys (Martin) Gates. She first married Charles S. L'Heureux, and later James F. Hoag, Sr. Loraine is survived by sisters, Sandra (Clifford) Kirkpatrick (Shaftsbury), Marilyn (Jerry) LaBrie (Bennington), and Nancy Scammell (Port Salerno, Fla.); son, Steven L'Heureux (New Haven); daughter Laurie and son-in-law, Tim Earle (Monkton); grandsons, Dillon L'Heureux, Nathan L'Heureux, and Ryan L'Heureux, Nicholas Earle (Monkton), Tristan and Ashli Earle (Starksboro), two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her step-children and their spouses, Jim, Jr. and Veronica Hoag, Joe and Peg Hoag, Paul and Denise Hoag, Mary Ellen and Chuck Kinney, Rosemary and Bruce Andrews all of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Margaret and Ed LaFortune (Melrose, N.Y.), Andrea Lassor (Dalton, Mass.) Sharon and Ken Buck (Mechanicville, N.Y.), and Bridget and Frank Slingerland (Burnt Hills, N.Y.). Graveside committal services will be held at the Center Shaftsbury Cemetery on Aug. 2, with the Rev. Alan Kittelson, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. The full obituary is in the Monday, July 14, issue of the Addison Independent.
