Loretta R. Taylor 1933 - 2009 BENNINGTON Mrs. Loretta R. Taylor, 76, a resident of Fillmore St. in Bennington passed away in her sleep on March 10, 2009. She was born in Cherry Plain, N.Y., March 3, 1933, daughter of Lewis and Addie Carr Goodermote. Loretta received her education in Berlin, N.Y., and was a 1951 graduate of Berlin High School. She married Willard Taylor June 7, 1958. For several years Loretta was employed at a shirt factory in Berlin. She stopped working to raise her children. When her children were old enough she went to work at the Bennington Banner where she worked for 12 years. While living and working in Bennington Loretta made several friends. Her home and family was her main interest. Her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She leaves her husband Willard Taylor of Bennington. Their children, Jeffrey, Lisa, James and Wanda, 12 grandchildren; Robert, Keith, Katlyn, Adam, Melissa, David, Peter, Leila, Victoria, Alexander, Jade and James Jr., 13 great-grandchildren; Tatyana, Loren, Brody, MacKenzie, Madison, Cayla, Brendan, Anastasia, Jaden, Carter, Aiden, Justice and Navaah, four sisters; Luella and William Hoffman, Margaret and Henry Tanner, Shirley and Robert Oswald and Joyce Goodermote and Gary Jones, three brothers, Leo Goodermote, Elmer and Sylvia Goodermote and Lewis Jr. and Connie Goodermote. Several nieces, nephews and cousins and a dear friend Rita Niles. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. The burial will take place in the family lot in the Berlin Community Cemetery in Berlin, New York. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m when the family will be in attendance. If friends desire contributions in memory of Loretta may be made to the Cherry Plain Community Church through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201
