Loretta St. Hilaire 1935 - 2011 BENNINGTON, VT Loretta J. St. Hilaire, 76, a resident of Main Street in Pownal, passed away Monday morning September 26, 2011 at her current residence on Union Street in Bennington. Loretta was born in Bennington on April 15, 1935 the daughter of Everett and Gertrude (Green) Hurley, Sr. and attended North Pownal Elementary School. Loretta worked at the Pownal Tannery for many years and then for General Cable. Loretta enjoyed watching television, especially court and talk shows. She liked listening to country music, cooking and keeping her home impeccably clean. Loretta cherished times spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loretta is survived by her husband Henry St. Hilaire of Pownal whom she married at the North Pownal Congregational Church on May 4, 1958, her daughter Connie Sicotte and her husband James of Pownal, her sister Gladys Harris of North Pownal, nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was precdeceased by her brothers; Kenneth Hurley, Sr., Gerald Hurley, Everett Hurley, Jr., Joseph Hurley and Robert Hurley, Sr., and her sisters Mary Dean, Mildred Burdick and Edna Weaver. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Loretta will be held Friday September 30, 2011 at 1pm at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME 213 West Main Street Bennington, Vermont. Rev. Jerry Frey of the Pownal Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home September 30, 2011 from 11am-1pm, 2 hours prior to the service.
