LOUIS "Pete" HAYNES JR. 1934 - 2008 HOOSICK FALLS Louis "Pete" E. Haynes Jr., 74, a resident of Ball Street Extension died peacefully on Nov. 5, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Mr. Haynes was born in Stillwater on Sept. 23, 1934, son of Louis and Jennie Delaney Haynes Sr., at a young age they relocated to the Hoosick Falls area where he attended the Breese Hollow Schoolhouse and then graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. For over 30 years he had worked at the Dodge Company, now Oak Materials Group, retiring in 1991 and had been a member of the Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad for over 25 years. He enjoyed raising all types of exotic and domestic animals and tropical fish, he truly loved reading, especially about nature. He leaves his wife Marilyn Wallace Haynes of Hoosick Falls whom he married in 1956, children, Lance Haynes of Swansea, Mass., Dmitri Haynes of Metairie, La., Kelly Haynes of Hoosick Falls and Desiree Brock of Buskirk, a sister Anne Carter of North Bennington, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends at the Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad headquarters on Saturday Nov. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad in care of the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
