JOHNSONVILLE, N.Y. -- Louis H. Miclette, 77, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt. He resided in Johnsonville with his wife of 57 years, Harriet (Harrington) Miclette.

Louis was born on Oct. 27, 1929, in Montreal, Canada, son of the late Henry and Rose (Faucher) Miclette. He was educated at schools in Dalton, Mass. Louis was a farmer and logger all of his life. He enjoyed working on his equipment, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling and spending time with his loyal companion, Jake, who will miss him very much.

Survivors other than his wife Harriet include his daughter, Colleen Miclette and her partner, Shellia Roberts of Johnsonville; five sons, Louis Miclette Jr. of Aurora, Colo., Arthur Miclette of Crown Point, Donald Miclette and his wife, Jeanette, of Easton, John Miclette and his wife, Christine, of Hoosick Falls, and James Miclette and his wife, Lynne, of Johnsonville; two sisters, Pauline Angelo and her husband, Lewis, of Binghamton, and Lillian Huebach and her husband Ronald, of Huston, Texas; four brothers, Raymond Miclette of Pittsfield, Mass., Joseph Miclette of Clifton Park, Peter Miclette and his wife, Jean of Care Junction, Ore., and John Miclette and his wife, Linda of League City, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 26, at 11:30 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 p. m. from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be in the spring at St. John’s Cemetery in Schaghticoke.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hoosick Valley Rescue Squad or the Pittstown Fire Company through the funeral home.
