Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A prayer service was held on Wednesday morning, Oct. 26, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington followed by a Mass of Christian death and burial at St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington with the Rev. James Doherty, pastor, officiating. Concelebrating the Mass was the Rev. Michael DeMasi.

Assisting at the mass was the Mr. Ivan Matte.

Selected hymns for the Mass included “On Eagles’ Wings,” “Yes I Shall Arise,” “Be Not Afraid,” “The Supper of the Lord,” and “How Great Thou Art,” sung by Mrs. Millie Pierce accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Louise Gauthier.

Tributes and remembrances were offered by two granddaughters, Lisa Skowron and Jennifer Yannotti. His grandson Michael Yannotti acted as a pallbearer working with the funeral home staff.

Interment followed in the family lot in St. John’s Cemetery in North Bennington, where the Revs. Doherty and DeMasi offered the prayers of committal. A time of sharing followed at the St. John’s parish hall.

Mr. Louis Yannotti, 90, a long time resident of Harwood Hill in Bennington died Sunday, Oct. 23, at his residence following a brief illness.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
