Obituary Condolences

SHREWSBURY -- The liturgy of Christian burial for Mrs. Louise Ann (Lampron) Dumas was offered on Wednesday morning at St. Patrick’s Church in Wallingford. The Rev. Robert J. McKnight, pastor, was the celebrant. Suzanne Ryan served as organist and soloist. The entrance hymn was “Amazing Grace,” “It Is Well With My Soul” was offered as the communion hymn and the recessional hymn was “For All The Saints.” The Old Testament reading from the Book of Wisdom was offered by Mrs. Dumas’ son, John, and the New Testament reading from The Apostles was offered by her son, Robert.

Interment will take place at a later date in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph. The honorary bearers for the mass were members of The St. Anne’s Society including Doris Bourgeois, Edith LeRay, Marie Ray, Teresa Boutin, Rachael Kinney and Louria Tessier. Mrs. Dumas was a member of the society while residing in Bennington.

On Tuesday evening the Rev. George H. Dupuis, pastor of St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Arlington, conducted an evening prayer service for Mrs. Dumas at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center.

Mrs. Dumas, wife of Frederick Dumas and a resident of Old Plymouth Road in Shrewsbury and formerly of Bennington, died on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center at the age of 71.

Service arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.
