BENNINGTON -- Lucila Albinder, 67, a resident of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and more recently of Carpenter Hill Road in Bennington, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on March 27, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Marcos and Clara (Fichi) Milgram.

Lucila married Harold Albinder on May 7, 1959.

She was a member of the Museum of Natural History in New York City and she loved the arts. Throughout the years, she touched many people’s lives.

Survivors include her husband Harold Albinder of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a daughter, Lia Diamond and her husband, Harold, of Bennington; three sons, Danny Albinder and his wife Susan of Milton, N.Y., Ari Albinder and his wife Susan of Boca Raton, Fla., Jacob Niremberg and his wife Miriam of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on the family property on Carpenter Hill Road in Bennington on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. with Rabbi Howard Cohen officiating.
