1930-2013 Lucille M. Silver, age 83, a resident of Coleville Road in Bennington, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Kenyon and their family for several years, died on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, with her family at her side. She was born in Bennington on May 20, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Flora (LaFlamme) Rousseau. She received her education in Bennington. She married Donald Cranston, in Bennington, he died in 1957. Lucille later married Edward Silver and he predeceased her in 1979. Over the years, Lucille had been a homemaker, but had worked for the Bennington Banner, and more recently had been employed at Price Chopper Supermarket. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, watching television, trips to Maine to enjoy the ocean life and spending time with her family and animals. Survivors include her children: Christopher Cranston and his wife Denise of Woodford, VT, Laurie Dwyer and her husband Mark of Virginia, Linda Dailey and her husband William of So. Burlington, VT, Donna Maloney and her husband Dennis of Bennington, Donald Cranston and his wife Mallory of California, Lisa Kenyon and her husband, James of Bennington, and Edward Silver and his wife Sherry of Bennington. Mrs. Silver leaves nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, one brother, Roland Rousseau of Massachusetts, a sister-in-law, Ann Maynard of Bennington, and her dog Benny. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held privately at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington. There are no calling hours scheduled.
