Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. M. Jeanne Beaudoin were held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church Saturday, May 21, 2005, where the liturgy of Christian death and burial was offered by the Rev. Edward T. Preskinis, c.s.c., pastor.

Organist was Don McMahon and soloist was Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the funeral service were “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid,” “Here I Am Lord,” “On Eagles’ Wings” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.”

The funeral pall that covered Mrs. Beaudoin’s casket during the funeral Mass was placed by four of her children, Lionel Beaudoin, Lise Barney, Pauline Billert and Jacques Beaudoin. A wooden cross was than placed on the casket by Gilles Beaudoin, a son.

The scriptural readings were offered by Leonard Anzivino and the offertory gifts were presented by five granddaughters, Michelle Noble, JoAnn Burke, Karen Anthony, Christine Bushee and Elizabeth Beaudoin. A letter, written by Mrs. Beaudoin’s eldest grandchild, Susan Pingrey, was read by John Beaudoin, a grandson. Acolytes were Leonard Anzivino, Bernard Bourgeois and Francis Sausville.

Bearers were seven grandsons, Joseph, John and Matthew Beaudoin, Michael and Brian Billert and Steven Barney.

Honorary bearers from the St. Annes Society were Shirley Barnhardt, Doris Bourgeois, Theresa Boutin, Madeleine Fitzgerald, Estelle Hoth and Cecile Potter.

A prayer service at the Mahar & Son preceded the funeral Mass.

Friday afternoon the wake service was offered at the funeral home by Rev. Vincent Coppola, c.s.c., associate pastor of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. Members of St. Anne’s Society led in the recitation of the Rosary at the funeral home on Friday and members of the Bennington Fire Department also paid their respects to the family. Mrs. Beaudoin’s grandson, Brian Billert, is an assistant chief of the department.

Burial took place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Preskinis offering the committal prayers.

A reception for family and friends followed the services at the home of Jacques and Mary Beaudoin in Bennington.

Mrs. Beaudoin, widow of Joseph A. Beaudoin and a resident of Walloomsac Apartments, Bennington, died May 18, 2005, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
