M. Lucille Bishop

1942-2009 BENNINGTON M. Lucille Bishop, 67, a resident of Benmont Avenue, and a lifelong resident of Bennington, passed away Thursday afternoon, Nov. 12, 2009 at her home.

Lucille was born in Bennington on Aug. 17, 1942, the daughter of Earl and Mabel Campbell Bishop Sr.

She attended Bennington schools and worked at the Paradise Inn as a chambermaid and in the housekeeping department for 40 years.

She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and creating jigsaw puzzles.

Lucille is survived by her brothers, Herman Bishop and his wife, Virginia, of Bennington, Joseph Bishop and his wife, Patricia, of Searsburg, Amos Bishop of Jaffrey N.H. and James Bishop and his wife, Stacy, of N.H.; her sisters, Ruth Jewell of Rindge, N.H. and Ellen Coyne of Poultney; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kendrick and Earl Bishop Jr.; and her sister, Frances Rochelle.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At the request of the family funeral services and interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held Monday evening Nov. 16, 2009 at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
