Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Mabel L. MacJarrett, 68, widow of Francis Tom MacJarrett, a resident of Maple Street, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 at her residence.

Born in North Bennington on Nov. 23, 1934, she received her education in the North Bennington schools.

Mr. and Mrs. MacJarrett were married in Bennington on May 27, 1955. Mr. MacJarrett died May 27, 2001.

Mrs. MacJarrett had been employed for many years at the Stanley Tools Company in Shaftsbury prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed her cats and going to tag sales. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Laurie Ann Battis of Ft. Edward, N.Y.; two sons, Thomas Michael MacJarrett of Glens Falls, N.Y. and David MacJarrett of Bennington; six grandchildren; a half-brother, Philip Bushee of Essex Junction; two sisters-in-law, Laura MacJarrett and Lorraine Lorette, both of Bennington; a brother-in-law, Gerald MacJarrett of Shaftsbury; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.

Mrs. MacJarrett was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon MacJarrett, and a brother, Joseph Bruso.

At Mrs. MacJarrett’s request funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Hinsdillville Cemetery.
