Obituary Condolences

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Funeral services for MacKenzie “Mac” Stewart Foist were held from the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown with the Rev. Patricia MacHugh, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown, officiating. Several in attendance offered tributes and remembrances including his uncle, Peter Goewey, with whom Mac had resided. The organist for the service was Robin Kibler.

Bearers were Robert Lyons, Michael Quick, Mitchell Gladu, Jason Rosasco, Justin Noies and MacKenzie’s uncle Charles Foist. Honorary bearers from the United States Army were Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Caron and Major Doug Brinson.

The burial took place in the family lot in East Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. MacHugh offering the committal prayers.

A reception followed at the home of Charles and Carole Foist.

MacKenzie “Mac” Stewart Foist, 19, a resident of Autumn Acres, Bennington, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 in Pownal as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St., Bennington.
