Margaret Clark Hebbard 1927-2011 EAGLE BRIDGE, NY Margaret Clark Hebbard, 83, died Sunday, January, 2, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Harry T. Hebbard, Jr. who died in 1998. Born Saturday, November 19, 1927 in Hamden, N.Y., she was the daughter of Elmer and Mattie Oliver Clark. Peg graduated from high school and then worked as a secretary at Cornell University. She and Harry were married July 21, 1946. They moved to Eagle Bridge in December 1967. Peg worked at the law offices at Holbrook and Johnston in Hoosick Falls. She also worked as an office administrator for the Standard Press and wrote the Eagle Bridge community news for the Standard Press and the Washington County Post. A devoted member of the Eagle Bridge United Methodist, she was the organist for many years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women. As a member of the Mary McClellan Hospital Auxiliary, Peg worked many hours in the "Good Buy Shop". She was also a member of the Farm Bureau. Her hobbies included making crafts, making and sending handmade cards and newspaper clippings to friends and family, flower gardening, photography (especially sunsets and lighthouses), baking, bird watching and listening to the radio. She was predeceased by five siblings, Ruth Sweet, Eva Budine, Mabel Myers, Ralph Clark and George Clark. Survivors include four children, Janette H. Reed and Harry T. Hebbard III, both of Cambridge, Lucy Robinson of Shaftsbury and Carol Flores of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, Amy Michaud of Whitehall, Cathy Reed of Eagle Bridge, Michael Reed of Cambridge and Nikia Hebbard of Cambridge; two great-grandchildren, Heather and Tyler Michaud; a brother, Elmer Junior Clark and wife, Audrey, of Walton; a sister , Olive Gile and husband, Ed, of Delhi, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Clark, and many nieces, nephews and their families. FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Eagle Bridge United Methodist Church, State Route 67, Eagle Bridge. A reception will follow. Peg will be buried beside her beloved husband at Woodlands Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eagle Bridge United Methodist Church, Eagle Bridge, NY 12057. The family would like to thank Peg's care providers-Village Primary Care of Hoosick Falls, companions from Home Instead Senior (especially Connie and Sam who Peg grew quite fond of) and Visiting Nurses from Queensbury. Peg was a wonderful woman, devoted to her family, church and community. She always saw the bright side of life. She will be greatly missed.
