Margaret "Pepper" Morrison BENNINGTON, VT Margaret "Pepper" Morrison, a resident of Monument Ave. in Bennington, died peacefully April 14th in Bennington, surrounded by love.She was born in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late John and Hilda (Tabb) Rowe. Pepper received her education in Bowmanville, graduating from Bowmanville High School. She was the loving wife of the late John M. Morrison. They were married June 1, 1946. They spent 54 happy years together. For many years, Pepper was the secretary at the Second Congregational Church in Bennington. Pepper loved her dogs and enjoyed sharing a friendly wave on her morning walks. Her bridge group and tennis girls were dear to her heart. She had a strong sense of community and shared her joy with all that she encountered. Pepper is survived by her children, Dane Morrison of Toronto, Canada, Cynthia Morrison and her husband Christian Hallowell of Concord, NH, Jill Morrison of Seattle, WA and Andrea Wheeler and her husband Anthony of Olympia, WA; three grandchildren, Emma Hallowell and her husband Michael Roberts of Brattleboro, Zoe Hallowell and her husband Bob Downs of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Zeph Hallowell of Bozeman, Mont. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Brandreth of Calgary, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Harvey Rowe. MEMORIAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at the Second Congregational Church of Bennington on Hillside Avenue on Saturday, April 28, beginning at 1 p.m. The family would like to extend their appreciation to VNA and Hospice of SVHC and thanks to the staff of the River's Edge Community Care Home for all the love and care they have given to Pepper.
