1924 - 2014 HOOSICK FALLS NY Margaret T. Myers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away comfortably at home with her daughter Ellen in S.C. on Nov. 26 She was born in Hoosick Falls, on Dec. 9, 1924, the daughter of John Louis Eugene Trembley and Elizabeth Theodora Brahan, who predeceased her in 1970. She graduated Valedictorian of St. Mary's Academy, Hoosick Falls, in 1942. She worked for the Wood Flong in Hoosick Falls as well as for Norman Construction Company before moving to Wappinger Falls on Sept. 6, 1964. She owned and operated Dutchess Abstract of the Hudson Valley in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for over 30 years until her stroke in 2006. She lived with her daughter and caregiver , Ellen Marchese for the last six and a half years. She traveled extensively with her friend, June Scalzo, who also predeceased her in 2008, to France, Ireland, Dominican Republic, California, Florida, Hawaii, and many other countries and took the last flight on the Concorde and the last cruise of the QE2. She loved to travel and was heading to Ireland on a genealogy trek when she had her stroke during carotid artery surgery on Aug. 22, 2006. She also loved to read and do crossword puzzles in pen. She loved to go for long drives, loved roses and she loved Christmas. She met her husband, and the love of her life, Norman Francis Myers, who predeceased her on Mar. 7, 1984, and they married on April 6, 1947 at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Hoosick Falls. She is survived by five children, Ellen Marchese of Conway, S.C., Margaret Marie DiMartino and husband, Carmello, Highland, N.Y., Elizabeth Lewis and husband Timothy of Warrenton, Va., Jeanne Frances Myers of Highland, N.Y., and Patricia Faulkner and her husband James of Levittown, Pa. She had seven grandchildren, Jason Frahm, Nicole DiMartino-DeMarco, Daniella DiMartino, Zachary Cargill, Sean and Ryan Lewis, and Devin Faulkne; as well as two great-grandchildren, Arden Leigh Frahm and Jared Frahm; as well as several nieces and nephews on the Myers side of the family. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Penelope Peach Pit who was a great companion and friend. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Marjorie Trembley, and a brother, John Trembley. FUNERAL NOTICE: Visitation will be held at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street (Route 52), Fishkill, N.Y. on Wednesday Dec. 3, from 4 -8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill , she will be buried in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, N.Y. with her husband Norman.
