1964-2013 On Saturday, August 17, 2013 God gained another beautiful soul when Margaret M. Tobin, 48, a resident of Jackson Cross Road in Pownal, VT passed away. She was born in Bennington,VT on December 31, 1964. She was the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Bourn) Tobin. She received her early education in Pownal and was a 1983 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. Margaret has been employed at both CB Sports and Nastech. Margaret was a very proud Nana. Her grandchildren Olivia, Averi and Noah were her world! She was a loving, caring and dedicated mother and friend to her children. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, keeping contact with family and friends and Facebook,and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a sweet woman with a huge heart filled with love and compassion and was known to try and help anyone in need whether they were family or not. Survivors include her boyfriend of over 20 years, Alan Moore, her children Jaskia Tobin and boyfriend Douglas Peltier of Pownal, William Danforth II of North Bennington and Samantha Danforth of Pownal. Her beloved grandchildren Olivia Danforth, Averi Peltier and Noah Peltier. Her mother Margaret Tobin of Pownal. Her father and step mother Raymond and Andrea Tobin of North Pownal. Three sisters, Anne Tobin and her boyfriend Charles Farnham of Pownal, Robin Field and husband Ronald Field of Deland, Florida, and Lynda LaPlant and husband Gary LaPlant of North Bennington. Also, a step brother Steven Houser of North Pownal and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service to celebrate Margaret will be held at The Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington on Wednesday, August 21 at 6:00pm. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5pm until the time of the service. If friends desire contributions in memory of Margaret M. Tobin may be made to the family to help with expenses through the office of The Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street Bennington, Vermont 05201.
