Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A prayer service was held for Marguerite Tetreault on Monday, March 19, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church with the Reverend Vincent Coppola, csc, associate pastor, officiating. Assisting at the mass were: Mr. Leonard Anzivino, Mr. Edward Molloy, Dr. Barth Vander Els, and Mr. Ted Hajos.

The pall was placed on Mrs. Tetreault’s casket by her two daughters, Rosalie Green and Jean Lyons. The Cross of Resurrection was placed on the casket by her son Rosary Tetreault. The Old Testament Scripture was read by Mrs. Tetreault’s granddaughter Robin Green, and the New Testament Scripture was read by a family friend, Paula Lyons.

The selected hymns for the Mass included: “Here I Am Lord,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Ave Maria,” “Just a Close Walk With Thee and Jesus” and “Remember Me.” Organist for the mass was Donald McMahon, and the soloist was Monica Murray.

The Eucharistic gifts were brought to the altar by three great granddaughters: Samantha Wojcik, Katie Wojcik and Axela Green. The Eulogies were offered by Mrs. Tetreault’s son-in-law James Lyons Sr. and by her granddaughter Robin Green.

Pallbearers for the services were her granddaughter Robin Green, and grandsons Richard Green, Rory Green, James Lyons Jr. and Jeffrey Tetreault, and family friend Richard Lyons.

Interment followed the Mass in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington, where Fr. Coppola offered the committal prayers. A time of fellowship followed the interment at the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall.

Attending the visitation on Sunday evening at the funeral home were coaches and members of the Mount Anthony Patriot Wrestling teams. The Vigil service during the visitation was offered by the Reverend Michael DeMasi.

Mrs. Tetreault, age 95, a resident of Pageant Street in Bennington, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at her home following a brief illness.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
