Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The funeral of Marie Alice Rancourt Krawczyk, wife of Francis J. Krawczyk, was held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on Wednesday, Dec. 6, where the Mass of Resurrection was offered by the Rev. Vincent Coppola, csc, associate pastor. A prayer at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home preceded the mass.

Organist for the mass was Mr. Donald McMahon, and the soloist was Ms. Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the mass included, “Ave Maria,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “Amazing Grace,” “On Eagles’ Wings,” “The Lord’s Prayer,” and “How Great Thou Art.”

The pall was placed on Mrs. Krawczyk’s casket by her four children: Mrs. Pamela Prouty, Mrs. Eileen Rennie, Ms. Amy Krawczyk, and Mr. Francis “Bud” Krawczyk. The cross of resurrection was placed on the casket by her husband Mr. Francis Krawczyk.

The Old Testament scripture was read by her daughter, Mrs. Eileen Rennie, and the New Testament scripture was read by a niece, Mrs. Laurie Croker. Eucharistic gifts were brought to the altar by her four granddaughters, Ms. Katie Prouty, Ms. Jennifer Prouty, Ms. Jessica Krawczyk, and Ms. Kimberly Krawczyk.

The eulogy was offered by her son; Francis “Bud” Krawczyk. Interment followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington with Father Coppola offering the committal prayers. A reception followed in the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales parish hall.

The pallbearers for the services were her son Francis “Bud” Krawczyk, her daughter’s companion, David Myers, her grandson Daniel Prouty and her brother-in-law Edward Krawczyk.

Acolytes for the mass were Mr. Leonard Anzivino, Mr. Joseph Anton and Mr. Gerald McMurray.

The vigil service was offered by Father Coppola at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Marie Krawczyk, a resident of Washington Avenue died at her residence, Dec. 2, 2006, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
