Marie Langevin

BENNINGTON Marie "Mickey" Langevin, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Brookdale at Fillmore Pond. Mickey was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Elise (Heppelle) Bourgeois. She received her education in Bennington. She retired from Union Carbide after 25 years of service. Mickey was happily married to Joe Langevin for 40 years. He recently passed on November 11, 2015. As members of the Moose Lodge, they often enjoyed cooking together on Friday nights at the Lodge. They spent many summers together at Mallot's Bay campground on Lake Champlain, where they hosted numerous community events, like Christmas in July. Mickey and Joe continued to bring those traditions to their home in Cozy Meadow Park in Pownal, VT. She spent many years supporting Sacred Heart Parish Bazzars, organizing many events, and making beautiful crafts with her sisters, Rachel Kinney and Doris Bourgeois. As member of the Pownal Swinging Seniors, she orchestrated events like Morning Coffee and holiday parties for children. Mickey had countless talents and passions. No matter where or how she was involved, she brought a warm and welcoming energy to all, touching so many hearts. She is survived by her five children; Richard (Pam) Boutin, Denise (John) Baker, Patty Boutin all of Bennington, Mark Boutin of Pownal, as well as Elaine (Bob) Just of York Beach, ME. She leaves her grandchildren; Ericka (Dustin) Albright of North Adams, MA, Amie (Jonathan) Gosselin of Pownal, VT, Jessica Boutin, John-Mike Baker, Jenna (Jake) Hunt, Brandon and Cole Boutin of Bennington, VT, Lindsay (James) Daly of Brunswick, NY, Ashley (Tim) Goggin of Gilford, NH, and Bobby Just of San Francisco, CA as well as a special love in her heart for each and every great-grandchild. Mickey is also survived by her sister, Joan Dorman, of Bennington and two brothers Joseph Bourgeois of Bennington and Donald Bourgeois of Leland, NC. She is predeceased by six sisters, and one brother. She held a warm place in her heart for Pat Betit and Carol Grande. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and member of the community. She will be missed by all those she touched. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 3p.m. at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington, VT 05201.
