Obituary Condolences

MANCHESTER -- Marion A. Ford, 69, of Lorette Avenue in Manchester, died Sunday morning, Jan. 9, 2005, in Bennington.

She was born in Gloversville, N.Y. on May 25, 1935, the daughter of Crawford and Virginia (Manzer) Tallman, and attended local schools. With her husband Sylvester, she owned and operated as well as kept the records for the Ford Landscaping Business for many years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Battenkill Valley Aerie 2551 of Manchester and the East Dorset Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary of which she chartered the organization. She enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and pinochle and loved her scratch tickets. She was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished times spent with her family.

She married Sylvester H. Ford on Oct. 18, 1952 in Albany, N.Y. Mr. Ford died May 18, 1995.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Ford and his wife Carla of Woodstock, Ga. and Todd Ford and his wife Kathy of Poultney; two daughters, Glenda Roberts and her husband David of Manchester and Gisele Cadoret and her husband John of East Dorset; a step-sister, Yvonne of New York; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ford will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Brewster Funeral Service, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center. Committal services will be in South Village Cemetery in Dorset in the spring. There are no visiting hours.
