Marion Daigneault

1910-2012 Marion Daigneault, 102, widow of Ulysses S. Daigneault, a resident of Grant Street, Bennington, died peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter, Tonya Loftus.

Born in Shaftsbury on June 15, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lena (Bouplon) Harrington. She received her education in the Shaftsbury and Bennington schools.

Mr. & Mrs. Daigneault were married at St. Francis de Sales Church October 17, 1932. Mr. Daigneault died October 23, 1986.

In earlier years Marion was employed at the Allen A Company and later at Union Carbide Corporation for thirty-two years until the time of her retirement.

Marion was a member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church.

Survivors include a daughter, and son-in-law, Beverly and Hugh Galvin of Bennington; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Edith O'Brien, Clara Harrington, Dorothy Bushee and Reuben Harrington.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 12 noon where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
