Marion I. Davis

1920-2010 NORTH ADAMS Marion Irene Reynolds Davis, 90, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph Court, North Adams, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at her home.

Born in Nashua, N.H., on Feb. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late James and Emma Reynolds, she came to North Adams as a child and later moved to Bennington, Vt. She attended schools in North Adams and Bennington.

She was employed at the Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, and was last employed at the Adams Nursing Home, now Williamstown Commons, for 13 years, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Adams.

Her husband, Earl Franklin Davis, whom she married July 5, 1941, died March 14, 2000.

She leaves a daughter, Donna Lee Hoag and her husband, Neil, of Woodford, Vt.; four grandchildren, Neil Hoag and his wife, Laura, Terri Lynn Willard and her husband, Pete, Tammy Lynn Anderson and her husband, Murray, and Andre Martell Jr. and his wife, Melissa; ten great-grandchildren and three great great-grandsons.

She also leaves one sister, Dorothy Bibbins of North Springfield, Vt., and two brothers, Harold Reynolds of Oregon, and Robert Reynolds of Bennington, Vt.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Ann Martell, who died Feb. 22, 1993; three sisters and one brother, Gertrude Rice, Ruth Fraser, Phyllis Stewart and Richard Reynolds.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
