Marion E. Pitcher 1917 - 2009 BENNINGTON Marion E. Pitcher, 92, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the Center For Living and Rehabilitation after several years of declining health. Marion was born on June 22, 1917, in Rochester, Mass., to Hiram E. Gould and Hannah E. Dustin Gould. Mrs. Pitcher attended Bridgewater State College before marrying R. Alton Pitcher on April 26, 1936. They moved to Hyannis, and North Quincy, Mass., and then to East Berne, N.Y. in 1947 where they repurchased Mr. Pitcher's family farm. After the death of her husband in 1975, Mrs. Pitcher moved back to her family home on County Road, W. Wareham, Mass., where she lived for many years. In April 2001, in her later years, Mrs. Pitcher moved to BenningtonT to be near her daughter. She leaves her daughter, Janet Fabricius and her husband, Dr. Richard Fabricius, of Bennington; her son, Rudolph A. Pitcher and his wife, Connie Pitcher, of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside funeral service will be Monday, July 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Rochester Center Cemetery where she will be interred in her family burial plot.
