Obituary Condolences

MANCHESTER CENTER -- Marion P. Kingston a resident of Equinox Terrace in Manchester Center, died Feb. 15, 2004 at the age of 95. She was born in Boston, Mass. on Jan. 23, 1909, the daughter of Noah and Edith Pitchford. She resided for many years in New Jersey, most recently at Harrogate in Lakewood and in Westfield with her husband, Bob, where they raised their family. In addition to being a homemaker, she was also a real estate agent.

Mrs. Kingston is survived by two sons and their spouses, James W. and Jean Kingston of Dorset, and William R. and Kimberly Kingston of Bethel, Conn.; two grandsons, Timothy James Kingston of Danby, and James William Kingston of Norwalk, Conn.; and five nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her first husband James E. Woodward, lost at sea during W.W. II; her second husband Robert Kingston; granddaughter Holly J. Kingston; brother and sister-in-law, A. Lester and Betty Pitchford; sister and brother-in-law, Olive P. and John H. Fraser Sr.; and niece Leslie P. Staunton.

Making and keeping a beautiful home were her delights. She loved to garden and was an avid still-life painter. In her later years she enjoyed playing bridge and reading.

Graveside services will be held in the spring in Medfield, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Equinox Terrace Employee Christmas Fund, Harrogate Endowment Fund or Manchester Rescue Squad c/o James Kingston, P.O. Box 10 Dorset, VT 05251.
