Marion L. Parker

1921 - 2013 BENNINGTON Marion L. Parker, 92, a resident of Woodford Road, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, 2013, at her home. Marion was born in Bennington on June 5, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Imogene (Mattison) Bleau and attended local schools. Marion worked for the Nichols Store for many years and worked as a dietician in many area nursing homes and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for many years. Marion loved her home and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, especially her geraniums, and enjoyed traveling to Florida where she would spend her winters with her husband, Robert. Marion is survived by her husband, Robert F. Parker of Bennington, whom she married in Arlington in 1949; her children, Virginia Loomis and her husband, Dennis, of Bennington, and Shannon Day and her husband, Jonathon, of Bristol, Maine; her grandchildren, Patrick Loomis, Chris Wager, Renee and Nikki Lauzon and Jennifer Klemp and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Bleau. FUNERAL NOTICE: At Marion's request, there are no formal funeral services. She will be interred with her parents in the family lot in Parklawn Cemetery.
