POWNAL -- Marion Sinclitico, 86, a resident of Pownal for many years, died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the North Adams Regional Hospital in North Adams, Mass., following a long illness.

She was born on May, 8, 1918, in Tower Hill, R.I. She received her early education in the Oak Hill Elementary School and graduated from the Williamstown High School in 1935. On May, 7, 1942, she married James Sinclitico. Mr. Sinclitico has predeceased her. For nine years, she worked at the Windsor Print Company and the packing and shipping department and for nine more years, she worked at Warren Wire Company. Following that time frame, she returned to school to study cosmetology and opened her own salon which she ran for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

She is a member of the Pownal Methodist Church and the Pownal American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Sinclitico is survived by one nephew, Robert F. Bowman, of North Hoosick, N.Y. and one niece, Christine Foley of Clifton Park, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pownal Methodist Church with the Rev. Gaylord Campbell, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the Pownal Methodist Church on Thursday morning, Dec. 16, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will follow in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the Pownal Fire Protection Association.
