1927-2010 BENNINGTON Marjorie O'Dell Bevins, 83, a resident of Benmont Ave. in Bennington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Mary, in Rutland. She was in the presence of her loving family.

Born on Jan. 17, 1927, in Bennington, the daughter of Merritt and Hazel Fisk O'Dell, she was married to Harold Bevins, who passed away in 1978. Her first husband, Carl "Red" Campbell, passed away in 2000.

Marjorie had worked as a housekeeper in various homes in the Bennington area, was a nurse's aid and also did mill work in North Bennington.

She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, watching cooking shows on television and flowers. She loved the color pink which she wore quite often, and was an animal lover.

She was a former member of the Eagles Lodge and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bennington. Marjorie's greatest enjoyment came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She leaves her companion, Raymond King of Bennington; sons, Dale Campbell of North Bennington, Vt., Gordon Campbell of Rutland, Vt., and Raymond Campbell of North Bennington; her daughters, Deborah Gardner of Arlington, Vt., and Mary Wade of Rutland; her brothers, Donald O'Dell and Roland O'Dell, both of Bennington, and Leon O'Dell of Shaftsbury, Vt.; her sister, Mildred Malone of Medina, N.Y., and 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son, Harry Campbell; a sister, Louise Leazer; brothers, Merritt Odell, Vernon O'Dell and William O'Dell.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Center Shaftsbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 W. Main Street in Bennington on Friday from 10-11 a.m. when the family will be in attendance.
