HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Marjorie Hearns, 82, died Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt. She resided on First Street in Hoosick Falls, and was the wife of the late Lawrence Hearns who died in 1991.

Marjorie was born on March 30, 1925, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Joseph and Myra (Swainska) Bachorz. Marjorie graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and Delahanty’s Business School in Manhattan. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls and enjoyed reading and listening to music.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Mirani of Virginia Beach, Va., and Arlene Mui of Parkland, Fla.; a son, Stephen Hearns of Hoosick Falls; three sisters, Anna Yurewitch and Florence Mattat, both of Hoosick Falls, and Jane Durkin of New York City; two brothers, Joseph and Fred Bachorz, both of Hoosick Falls. Marjorie is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Karen; four sisters, Josephine Bachorz, Elizabeth Jordan, Mary Chapones and Helen Angermund; and three brothers Albert, Francis and Michael Bachorz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at Long Island National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Karen McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
