Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Mark James Vince, 46, a resident of Main Street, Bennington, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y., surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born in Bennington, July 31, 1961. He was the son of Michael Vince Jr. and the late Janet (Martin) Vince. He received his education in Bennington.

Following high school, Mark moved to California where he worked on a salmon fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean.

An avid sports fan, Mark enjoyed fishing, football and baseball. His favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Boston Red Sox.

Survivors include a daughter, Heather Farley of Bennington; his father Michael Vince Jr. of Bennington; three brothers, Michael Vince III of Shushan, N.Y., Thomas Vince of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Christopher Vince of Wilmington, Mass; two aunts, Josephine Shepard and Patricia Raymond both of Bennington and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside committal service will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m.

There will be no calling hours.

If friends desire, contributions in memory of Mark James Vince may be made to either the Bennington Rescue Squad or the Southwestern Vermont Regional Ambulance Service through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
