BENNINGTON -- Marsha J. Myers, 53, a resident of Washington Avenue in Bennington, died on Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a long illness.

Marsha was born in Adams, Mass. on Dec. 10, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Joseph I. Jozefiak, and Elaine Millette Jozefiak, who survives. She received her education in Adams at Notre Dame Elementary School and is a graduate of Adams High School in the class of 1969. Following her graduation she attended North Adams State College in North Adams, Mass.

She married Robert Myers following college. The Myers’ moved to Bennington in April1978. Her employment included Adams Laundry Company of Adams, Pizzies Store in North Adams and the Grand Union Supermarket in Bennington. She also operated her own daycare center and worked as a paraprofessional at Catamount Elementary School in Bennington and most recently as a retail clerk at the J. C. Penney Company Store in Bennington.

Marsha enjoyed spending time with her family, extended family and friends. She would always enjoy a good book and working in her flower garden. Her special joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Isabella Donata Myers.

Survivors besides her mother, husband and granddaughter include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Jamie Myers Jr. of Colchester and Cody John Myers of Nashua, N.H; her daughter, Brianna Kay Myers of Bennington; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Brian and Kathy Jozefiak of Pittsfield, Mass., Gary and Debbie Jozefiak of Adams, Mass., Steven and Melissa Jozefiak of Downingtown, Pa., and Alan Jozefiak of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; her mother-in-law and father-in law, Robert and Edith (Dolence) Myers of Bennington; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Ronald and Monica Myers of Baltimore, Md., Joseph and Tina Myers of Doyleston, Pa., James and Justine Myers of Waterbury, Mark and Elizabeth Hutchins of Nashua, JoAnne Myers of Bennington and Neil and Jennie Hogan of Bennington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A prayer service for Marsha will be held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, followed by a Mass of Christian death and burial at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A vigil service will be held during the visitation.
