Martha L. Bow 1931-2010 BENNINGTON Mrs. Martha L. Bow, 78, a resident of Benmont Ave. in Bennington died unexpectedly Saturday September 25, 2010 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She was born in Bennington, Vt. October 11, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Rachael (Brin) Weeks. Martha received her early education at Sacred Heart School and attended Bennington High School. She married John Joseph Restino and was later married to James Bow who died in 1992. Martha played many roles in her life as a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. In earlier years she was employed at several local businesses and for 30 years worked at the Union Carbide Corporation from which she retired at the age of 58. Martha loved to read and travel, she also enjoyed bowling and watching old movies. Her children and grandchildren were her main interest. Survivors include her children, Paryse Shaughnessy and her husband Daniel of Voorheesville, N.Y., Pamela Cross, JoAnn Restino, John Restino and his wife Jackie and Mary Beth Dartt and her husband Jeff all of Bennington. Four grandchildren, Joshua Cross and his wife Stacey of Essex Junction, Vt., Matthew Shaughnessy of Albany, N.Y. and Lindsey and Adam Restino of Bennington. A great granddaughter Mia Cross of Essex Junction, Vt. A brother Norman Weeks of Bennington and three sisters, Paryse Fracasso of Naples, Florida, Simone Coyne of Bennington and Susan Cathcart of Bennington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a brother Alfred Weeks. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. The burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. There will be no calling hours. If friends desire contributions in memory of Martha may be made to either the Vermont Association for the Blind or the Vermont through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
