Martin A. Hoffman 1981 - 2009 WOODFORD VT Martin A. Hoffman, 28, a resident of Penny Lane, Woodford, lost his life on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, in Woodford. Born in Bennington on May 14, 1981, he received his high school diploma at Mt. Anthony Union High School. He left behind his mother and father, Martin S. Hoffman and Julianne Galipeau Hoffman; a sister, Lindsay Hoffman-Bump, a brother, Derrick Hoffman and his fiancé of seven years, Christina Tracy. Marty, aka "Boober" also had seven children, Alex 12, Tyler 11, Logan 9, Gabriel 8, Destiny 5, Zachary 2 and Natalie 10 months. He also leaves his grandparents, Bernard and Julie Galipeau of Shaftsbury and Sherman and Joan Hoffman of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He loved being a stay-at-home father, working on computers, good at making home videos and a fantastic poetry writer. Questions will be unanswered for the ones who loved him more than anything, especially his seven wonderful children. One thing about Marty is that he was a wonderful father, brother and son. He was always trying to please everyone. He will be missed more than words could ever express. I love you Big Brother! FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions in Martin A. Hoffman's memory may be made to his parents, Martin S. and Julie Hoffman, for the education expenses of Marty's children.
