BRATTLEBORO -- Mary Bolden, 83, formerly of Hinsdale, N.H., and Eden Park Nursing Home, died on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Bolden was born in Bennington on May 27, 1923, the daughter of Michael and Agatha (Bernat) Krawczyk.

She was raised and educated in Bennington, attending St. Francis DeSales Parochial School and Bennington High School.

She was a faithful and devoted wife, marrying Michael F. Bolden upon his return from the Pacific in World War II on Sept. 22, 1945, in the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. They resided Hinsdale, N.H., for their entire married life.

Mrs. Bolden had been employed by the Hinsdale Paper Mills for many years and later worked at the Hinsdale Raceway.

She is survived by two sisters, Jeannette and Helen of Bennington; four brothers, Frank and Edward of Bennington, Gene of Iowa and James of Wisconsin; her brother-in-law Anthony Bolden of Winchester, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews, including Nancy Stephens of Hinsdale.

She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Michael, as well as her sister, Ann.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hinsdale, followed by her committal in the Bolden family lot in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Ker Westerlund Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
