Mary E. Wilkinson 1933 - 2009 ARLINGTON Mary Elizabeth Wilkinson, 76, formerly of Lever Road, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 31, 2009, at Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington. Mary was born in Arlington on May 27, 1933, the daughter of Aubrey O. and Gladys Hover Moffitt and attended local schools. Mary worked for Mack Molding and The Hale Company in Arlington and provided day care services for many area families. She enjoyed baking, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading love story magazines and tending to her flower gardens. She liked playing bingo and visited the Green Mountain Christian Center on several occasions. Mary always cherished the company and love of her family, friends and neighbors, which included many animal companions throughout her life. Her husband, Robert L. Wilkinson, whom she married at the East Arlington Federated Church on Feb. 22, 1955, died June 27, 1971. Mary leaves her sons, Wesley W. Wilkinson of Arlington, and Gordon R. Wilkinson and his close companion, Lynn Vilbrin, of Rutland; her daughters, Debra J. Campbell and her husband, Raymond, of North Bennington, Darlene A. Jones and her husband, Guy, of Bennington, Vera E. Wilkinson and her close companion, Kate Kearney, of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and Diane M. Armstrong and her husband, Glenn, of North Pownal; her sisters, Ruth Wilcox of East Arlington, and Barbara Poulin of Saxtons River, and Agnes Brewer of Northfield, Conn.; two brothers, Charles and Arthur Moffitt, both of Sunderland, 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, greatnieces, great nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Gertrude Moffitt, and by her brother, Aubrey Moffitt. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Mary will be Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME Arlington Chapel, Route 7A, Arlington. Pastor John Goyette of the Green Mountain Christian Center will conduct the service. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Columban's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
