Mary Ann Howe 1940-2010 BENNINGTON Mary Ann Howe, 70, widow of Raymond C. Howe, a resident of Gore Road, Bennington, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her residence. Born in Bennington June 22, 1940 she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Guerin) Morin. She received her education in the Bennington schools and was a graduate of Bennington Catholic High School and St. Josephs Business College. Mary Ann and Raymond were married on October 22, 1960 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. Raymond died December 22, 1980. At the time of her death she was employed in the office at the Bennington Senior Citizens Center. In earlier years Mary Ann was employed as a waitress at various restaurants in the Bennington area and later for several years at CB Sports in Bennington. She enjoyed her cats and was an avid fan of the New York Giants football team. Survivors include five sons, Brian R. Howe of Bennington, Kevin W. Howe of Chelsea, Maine, Timothy S. Howe of Port Charlotte, Fla., David C. Howe of Bennington and Jeffrey M. Howe of Shaftsbury; six grandchildren, Nolen, Avery, Corbin, Frank, Timothy Jr., and Christina Howe; several nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Burial will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Mary Ann Howe's memory may be made to the Vermont Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 main Street, Bennington, VT 050201.
