BENNINGTON -- Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home was filled Tuesday afternoon for the funeral service for Mary McCrossan Maclay Percey. The Rev. Norma G. Drosky, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Bennington, conducted the service. The Rev. Drosky offered the lessons and pastoral prayer. The congregation listened to the hymns “In The Garden,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Old Rugged Cross.” Brenda Knapp read a poem dedicated to her grandmother and the Rev. Drosky offered a poem written by Mary’s granddaughter Billie Joe and a letter from We Care Day Care in remembrance of Mary. Interment followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery where the Rev. Drosky offered burial rites and committal prayers. Serving as pallbearers were David, Dean, Jamie and Adam Percey, Duffy Ostrander and Tim Tifft. A time of fellowship and refreshments followed at the home of her granddaughter, B.J.

Mary McCrossan Maclay Percey, formerly of Percey Road in Bennington, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington. Arrangements were under the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home 213 West Main St., Bennington.
