Mary L. Senecal 1930-2012 BENNINGTON Mary L. Senecal, 81, a resident of Brookside Apartments in Bennington died Saturday January 28, 2012 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a brief illness.. She was born in Bennington, Vt., September 8, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Ford and Mary (Debell) Hurley. Mary received her education in Bennington and was a 1947 graduate of Bennington High School. She married Theodore "Ted" Senecal on June 27, 1956 at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington. Mr. Senecal died December 8, 1983. For many years Mary was employed as the bookkeeper for the family business Senecal's Rubbish Removal. She also worked as a waitress at Woolworths, the Paradise, the Heritage House and Dunkin Donuts all in Bennington. Mary loved bingo, going for walks and shopping. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Ayers of Bennington and M.J. Vincelette and her husband Mitch of Bennington. Two sons, Ted Senecal and his wife Bonnie of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Clayton R. Senecal of Bennington. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two sons, Larry J. Senecal and Thomas Frost, a son in law Jerry Thompson, a brother, John "Jack" Hurley and a sister Josephine Candib. A graveside service will be held in the Spring at the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. The entombment will take place in the Park Lawn Chapel in Bennington. There will be no calling hours.
