Mary Jane Worley

1929 - 2014 BENNINGTON Mary Jane Worley, 75, a resident of Bell Street, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 23, at her residence. Born in Fort Kent, Maine on Aug. 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Emma (Charette) Roy. She received her education in the Fort Kent schools. Mary Jane married Ronald Worley in Waterbury, Conn. in 1961. In earlier years Mary Jane was employed at General Cable Company and the Green Mountain Race Track. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed trips to various casinos. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Worley Sr. of Bennington; five children, Lori Russell (Mark) of Arlington, Ronald Worley Jr. (Carol Forsman) of Bennington, Sharon Reilly (Kevin) of Salem, N.Y., Debbie Galusha (Dennis) of Statesboro, Ga., Stacy Whitney (Darrell) of Bennington and Tracey Russell (Robert) of Pownal; two grandchildren that Mary Jane raised from birth, Rebecca Beagle and Joey Brown, both of Bennington; a former son-in-law, Ralph Brown of Bennington, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Verna Thibault of Hampton, Va., Norma Ash of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bernice Deschenes of Springvale, Maine; a very special cousin, Mona Caron of Fort Kent, Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Jane was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ruth Larabee; and by a sister and three brothers, Rena Roy, and Norman, Clarence, and Renauld Roy. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR SON FUNERAL HOME Monday, Oct. 27, at 3 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Mary Jane Worley's memory may be made to the Vermont through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
