PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- Maurice T. “Mo” McAuliffe, 64, of Summit Road, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Speare Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Bellows Falls, Vt., the son of George E. and Barbara (St. Lawrence) McAuliffe. He was a 1961 graduate of Bellows Falls High School. Mo worked for the First National Stores as store and meat manager throughout New England, as meat manager for Williams Smoke House in Bennington, Vt., and as sales rep for JB Paper in Pittsfield, Mass. He was then meat manager at Purnier’s Market in Bomoseen, Vt. Mo’s greatest joy was spending quality time with his wife Bobbi, children and grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and jokester.

In 1962 at Saint Charles Church in Bellows Falls, he married Barbara “Bobbi” (Fair), who survives. Also surviving are a son, Christopher McAuliffe and wife, Donna, of Plymouth; a daughter, Kerri McGurn and husband, Thomas, of Bennington; a son, Patrick McAuliffe and wife, Paula, of Pownal, Vt.; six grandchildren, Kyle and Leah of Plymouth, Megan and Kalene of Bennington, and Kenna and Isabelle of Pownal; several nieces and one nephew. Besides his parents, Mo was predeceased by two brothers, George W. and Lawrence E. “Babe” McAuliffe.

There will be a memorial service at Saint Charles Church, Bellows Falls, Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lance Harlow. There will be no calling hours. Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls, is handling the arrangements.
