1954 - 2015 BENNINGTON Melinda Louise Vosburgh, age 61, a resident of East Road died on August 15, 2015 following a long illness. She was born in Bennington on March 3, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Griffis and Dorothy (Stroffoleno) Manning who survives. She was raised in Arlington and received her education in Arlington Schools. Melinda had been employed at Eagle Square, the Dodge Company in Hoosick Falls, and had worked at Tansitor Electronics for over 30 years, where she was a quality control manager. Melinda married R.J. Vosburgh of Bennington, in 1990. They had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Melinda enjoyed motorcycles, cars, snowmobiles, ATVs and loved animals. She enjoyed doing crafts and creating photo albums as gifts. She also loved children, especially her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, William (Jennifer) Hall of Bennington, and her daughter, Krystle Vosburgh of Bennington. Melinda leaves two grandchildren, Cole Hall and Caden Hall, both of Bennington. She is also survived by one sister, Melissa Davis of Arlington, and two brothers, Mike Hill of Sandgate, VT and Mark Hill of Florida. She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Griffis of Bennington, and step-father, Robert Hill of Arlington. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:30p.m., with the Reverend Kathy Clark, at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the or to Second Chance Animal Shelter, through the funeral home.
