Michael J. Miller

1958-2012 BENNINGTON Michael J. Miller, 54, a resident of Spring St. in Bennington died Sunday October 21, 2012 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

He was born in Bennington, VT September 18, 1958. He was the son of the late Thomas and Joan (Wright) Miller who survives. Mike received his education in Bennington. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Army where he served as a Medical Specialist.

He married the former Mary Hyduke on September 28, 2002 in Bennington.

In earlier years Mike was employed at the Vermont Veterans Home and the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center. For the past 13 years he drove for Garelicks in East Greenbush, New York.

Mike enjoyed reading, collecting coins and traveling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Miller of Bennington. Their children, Nicholas Miller, Jeremy Miller, Danielle McQueeney and her husband Pat, Melody Rogers and Dennis Murray all of Bennington and Erin Rogers and her boyfriend David Worthington of Shaftsbury; Eight grandchildren, Skylar and Peyton Miller, Reilly McQueeney, Micayla, Brenna and Jacob Hurley all of Bennington and Brayden Rogers and Evan Worthington of Shaftsbury; His mother Joan Miller of Bennington. Four brothers, Thomas Miller and his wife Janet of Bennington, Fred Miller and his wife Doreen of Pownal, Jeff Miller and Debbie of Pownal and Keith Miller and Kim of Bennington. Two sisters Brenda Knapp and Jeff of Shaftsbury and Kim Bishop of Pownal. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday October 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Lee Clark, Pastor of the Second Congregational Church officiating.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday October 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m
