Michael J. Spencer

1965 - 2016 Michael J. Spencer 50, died Friday, February 26, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. The son of Emily (Bleau) Breen, he was born on June 10, 1965. Michael attended North Adams public schools graduating from Drury High School in 1984. His love of sports was evident from baseball as a child to soccer where he played varsity goalie in high school. He was an avid golfer and loved hiking. Michael had a strong work ethic starting at the age of 14 at Modern Aluminum Anodizing and ending at Cascade School Supply at the time of his illness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Besides his mother, Emily and her husband, Hank Breen III he leaves a daughter, Jessica and her three children of North Adams, a son, JT his fiancee, Jessica and their two children of Clarksburg and another daughter, Stacy Kickery and her son of Troy, NY. He was the proud step-father of Kimberly Oxford and Joseph Butler both of North Adams. He also leaves his long time companion with whom he made his home, Jamie Hurley. Michael had four sisters, Lisa Walters her husband, Eric and her two sons of North Adams, Lori Spencer her companion, Robert Foley and their two children of Drury, Elsa Moreno and her four sons of Lanesborough, and Amy Strange her husband, Scott her two daughters of North Adams and two step-sons. Four brothers, Milton Spencer Jr. his companion, Theresa and his two daughters, of North Adams, Matthew Spencer his wife, Cynthia and his three step-children of North Adams, Chico Moreno his wife, Jocelyn and their two sons of Adams, and Cory Spencer his companion, Tammy his three step-children and their son of North Adams. He had many great nieces and nephews and friends. All are greatly impacted by the loss of such a loving soul. Michael was pre-deceased by his step-father, Francisco J.
