Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred “Buddy” Lidstone were held at the Missionary Alliance Church on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 16. Officiating was the Rev. Edwin Blue, pastor. Music for the service was provided by pianist Lindsey Wensley, who accompanied Mrs. Lidstone’s daughter-in-law Winnie Lidstone, who sang “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and “Amazing Grace.” Roger Webster, accompanied by the church orchestra, led the congregational singing of “The Old Rugged Cross.” A poem titled “Halfway Down” was read by a granddaughter, Kelly Doaner, the 23rd Psalm was recited by grandson Curtis Lidstone. A time of fellowship and refreshment followed in the church hall, hosted by members of the church.

Burial will take place in the spring in the Danby (Scottsville) Cemetery.

Mrs. Lidstone, 94, former Wallingford town clerk and treasurer and a resident of Lidstone Lane, died Jan. 12, 2005 at The Centers for Living and Rehabilitation.

Arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.
