VALLEY FALLS, N.Y. -- Minnie Luskin, 95, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy, where she has resided since August. Minnie formerly resided on Factory Hollow Road in Valley Falls. She was the beloved wife for 65 years to the late Robert Luskin, who died Sept. 29, 1993.

Minnie was born on Oct. 30, 1912, in Potter Hill, daughter of the late Ernest and Nora (O’Neil) Le Barron. She attended schools in Hoosick. She worked at the former Undergarment in Hoosick Falls and Thompson Mill in Bennington. She was a member of the Holy Names Episcopal Church in Boyntonville. Minnie enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She was a loving mother to Dorothy Murray (Bernard) of Troy, Rita Martinoli (Robert) of Pittstown, Patricia Priest (Mark) of Pittsford, Mary Gardiner (Robert) of Glenville, Kathleen D’Allaird (Joseph) of Clifton Park, and Robert Luskin (Betty) of Pittstown; she was a dear sister to Anna Ward of Troy, Ruth Potter of Hoosick Falls and Leverett Le Barron of Potter Hill. Minnie was a devoted grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lucy Williams and Ethel Brownell, and two brothers, Clayton and Raymond LeBarron.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. from All Saints Episcopal Church in Hoosick. Burial will follow the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery in Hoosick.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St., in Hoosick Falls on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Names Church through the funeral home.
