1958 - 2014 BENNINGTON Monica A. Curry , age 56, of 236 Grandview St. Bennington, Vt., joined her Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 17 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Pittsfield, July 29, 1958, the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn Robarge Curry. After attending St. Joseph's High School, she earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Berkshire Community College. Initially employed at the former Top Value Stamp Store on Dalton Ave., she later was employed as a Property Manager here in Pittsfield for Marken Properties of Holyoke. Monica founded and operated her own business, the former Classic Party & Gift Store initially within the former England Bros. Store prior to moving to a location in Gt. Barrington. Most recently, she operated the store in the Berkshire Mall. Upon its closing, she became employed with the adoption agency, " A Child Waits." Monica had a strong personal relationship with Jesus. A member of the New Life Community Fellowship here, she also attended the Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington. Monica enjoyed gardening as well as taking and digitally editing her own photographs. She enjoyed animals and found humor in everything., every day. She enjoyed all forms of music including Rock 'n Roll and the Blues. A member of the Berkshire British Motor Car Club, she loved owning and operating her Jaguar. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles E. Forgey, whom she married Feb. 14, 1990. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Dylan C. Forgey of Bangor,Maine.; her three daughters, Angelique M. Konopa of Arcata, Calif., Justine M. Curry of Pownal, Vt., and Gabrielle E. Dayton of Bennington, Vt.; her brother, Brian Curry of Dayton Beach, Fla., and her sister, Sharon Novaris of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be Friday from 4 - 7. Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Jeff Black, pastor of New Life Community Fellowship and Mark Herrick, pastor of the Pownal Center Community Church as co-officiants. Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either CareNet Pregnancy Center or to the Second Chance Animal Center, both in care of the funeral home.
